Led by Warren Magnusson and Arthur Kroker, the Vectors seminar will discuss the extent to which the future of politics, society and affectivity has already been  written  under the prophetic sign of Felix Guattari’s The Three Ecologies. A manifesto of radical ecological thought as well as an appeal for political activism in the era of crisis-ridden capitalism, Guattari’s The Three Ecologies provides a powerful theoretical gateway to the dark future that is now. Arguing that our understanding of ecology must be expanded beyond material nature to include questions concerning the nature of mass affect, specifically rising rates of mental and social  deterioration, Guattari proposes an ”Ecosophy” that is simultaneously a depth critique of capitalism and an activist agenda for radical transformation.
